Welcome to IOM Budapest’s child protection website!
Every child, which means every person below the age of 18, has rights and responsibilities wherever they live, wherever they come from. To be aware of these rights and responsibilities is especially crucial in case of vulnerable groups such as children on the move. In a country where they do not speak the language, do not know the asylum system they are at risk of not being informed properly about their situation.
The leaflet aims to give, in a brief and understandable way, essential and up to date information about children’s rights and responsibilities as well as the main steps of the asylum procedure in Hungary and the available services. Printed versions of the leaflet in seven languages can be found in the following facilities: Home of Unaccompanied Children in Fót; Vámosszabadi Reception Centre, Transit zone in Röszke, Transit zone in Tompa.
Please click on the photo on the right to read the leaflet.
